G12 Steel Grit is a coarse steel grit abrasive used for heavy-duty blasting and aggressive surface preparation. Its large particle size and sharp angular shape provide strong cutting power, making it suitable for removing heavy rust, thick oxide scale, mill scale, old coatings and severe surface contamination. G12 steel grit is commonly used for large steel structures, shipbuilding, thick steel plates, heavy castings, bridge components and industrial surfaces that require a deep anchor profile before protective coating.
Steel grit is produced by melting high-quality steel, atomizing it into steel shot, crushing the shot into angular particles, and then screening and heat-treating the material according to required hardness and size.
During production, the steel grit is classified by sieve analysis and inspected for chemical composition, hardness, density and particle size distribution. This helps ensure stable cutting performance and consistent surface roughness during blasting.
G12 steel grit is mainly used for heavy-duty surface preparation, especially where strong cleaning force and deep surface roughness are required. It is suitable for shipbuilding, large steel structures, thick steel plates, heavy castings, bridge components, pressure vessels and anti-corrosion coating preparation.

G12 steel grit is a coarse angular abrasive used for heavy-duty blasting and strong surface preparation. It provides aggressive cutting action and is suitable for removing heavy rust, thick oxide scale, old coatings, mill scale and strong surface contamination.
G12 steel grit is commonly used for steel structures, shipbuilding, thick steel plates, large castings, heavy machinery parts and metal surfaces that require a rough surface profile before painting or protective coating.
G12 steel grit can create a deep and rough surface profile because of its coarse particle size and sharp angular shape. Compared with steel shot, steel grit produces a stronger cutting effect and a rougher anchor pattern, which helps improve coating adhesion.
It is suitable for heavy surface preparation, especially when the workpiece needs strong cleaning power and a rough surface before anti-corrosion coating, painting or further processing.
