Product Introduction

High-reliability steel shot developed for demanding shot peening applications and precision manufacturing.

S390 / S460 / S550 ST Series Steel Shot are large-size secondary quenched steel shot abrasives used for heavy-duty shot blasting and strong surface cleaning. With higher impact force, improved toughness and stable particle structure, these ST steel shot grades can efficiently remove rust, oxide scale, sand residues and surface contaminants from large and thick metal workpieces. The double quenching process helps reduce excessive breakage under high-impact blasting conditions, supporting lower dust levels, longer service life and more stable cleaning results. S390, S460 and S550 ST Series Steel Shot are suitable for large castings, steel structures, thick steel plates, heavy forgings, machinery frames, welded components and protective coating preparation.

Manufacturing Process

ST Series Steel Shot is manufactured through raw material inspection, medium-frequency melting, chemical composition testing, centrifugal atomizing, drying, sizing, cleaning, shape selection, secondary quenching, tempering, fine screening and packaging.

The core advantage of ST Series Steel Shot comes from its secondary quenching process. After the steel shot is formed and preliminarily screened, it undergoes an additional quenching treatment to improve internal structure stability, hardness uniformity, toughness and impact resistance. This process helps reduce breakage and dust generation during repeated blasting cycles.

After secondary quenching, the steel shot is tempered to reduce internal stress and enhance durability. Through strict screening and quality inspection, ST Series Steel Shot delivers stable blasting performance, longer service life and consistent surface treatment quality for high-end shot blasting applications.

Advantages

1. Strong Impact Force for Heavy-Duty Cleaning

S390, S460 and S550 ST Series Steel Shot are large-size secondary quenched steel shot abrasives designed for heavy-duty shot blasting. Their higher impact force helps remove rust, oxide scale, sand residues and surface contamination from large and thick metal workpieces.

2. Secondary Quenching for Better Durability

The secondary quenching process improves internal structure stability, toughness and resistance to impact breakage. This allows S390, S460 and S550 ST Series Steel Shot to perform more reliably under high-impact blasting conditions.

3. Lower Dust Generation in Heavy Blasting

Heavy-duty blasting often causes faster abrasive breakdown and higher dust levels. ST Series Steel Shot helps reduce excessive breakage, keeping the blasting system cleaner and improving the stability of the abrasive mix during continuous operation.

4. Better Cost Control for Large Workpieces

With longer service life and more stable performance, S390, S460 and S550 ST Series Steel Shot can help reduce replacement frequency and abrasive waste. They are suitable for large castings, steel structures, thick plates, heavy forgings and welded components before protective coating.
